Girls Rule!

I was absolutely amazed at the talent, preparedness, and motivation of the young women I met at a school today in Saudi Arabia. They were all studying in anticipation of spending their college years abroad. Here are some photos and video from my visit.

Wow you could see none of the girls hair. Are all the girls like that in Suadi Arabia. Does it look odd with all the girls having those things wrapped around their heads.I hope your having a great time.

Visiting the schools most have been a blast! I would love to have been there! It's cool how they dress so much differently then us. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next.

Wow, your ignorance and naivete is breathtaking. You're on a Saudi-paid propaganda trip, and you are promoting the opportunities and treatment of women in this country, which you know very well treats women like dirt and chattel. How many of these girls will be able to drive? Answer: ZERO. How many of these girls will get to pick her own husband? ZERO, again. How many will be able to get a divorce? NONE (unless her husband permits it). Etc., etc., etc. You are really a tool by doing this, and you should be ashamed. Sad that you are too naive to realize it. Also, love how you have to agree that you will "not leave the group to explore on your own" as the Freep article states. Sounds like Saddam Hussein's propaganda tour when he headed Iraq. I conclude that where you went is an all girls school. Is this common, are there all boys schools too? Do boys even go to school in Saudi Arabia? I hope you are having a good time and I hope you don't miss your family to badly. Have fun!

Hi Mr.Joe

I hope you are enjoying your trip. Do you know why the girls cover their heads with scarfs?

Hi! I think that it is amazing that those young women can speak English. Is there a special language (other than Arabic) there, too? Is everyone at the school female? I think it would be cool to go to an all girls' school.
Good luck!

I can not even imagine being in school all day wearing cloth over my entire body. Is every woman dressed like that? It must be hot.

Mr. Joseph

I was wondering if the girls there got to choose what they wanted for a career. I know the rules there are very strict for girls so I was wondering if they tweaked them a little
