Today we went to the Aramco Petroleum Institute, which featured a hands-on museum. I learned an enormous amount about the oil industry "from ground to gas tank."
We had a wonderful lunch, then toured the Aramco compound, which is its own city. Unfortunately, we couldn't ride the horses.
We then visitied the Heritage Center, a small museum focusing on the history and culture of the Arab and Muslim world.
We're back in our rooms at Steineke Hall, and I'm ready for bed. The jet lag has caught up with me!

Mr. Joe,
Saudi Arabia sounds so cool! How was the pumpkin pie? It sure looked good. In the picture with the black and white leopard print thing, is it an eel?
Yes, that's an eel. I'm not sure what kind, though. Maybe you can do a little research and let us know.
The idea behind the fish tank was that it's important for oil companies to value our environment and take care of all living things, even as they're extracting oil from under the sea floor.
Mr. Joe,
Hi! I hope you are having a good time! That picture of the eel is awesome. It looks like a snake. I noticed the horses too. Do you know their breeds? It looked like thoroughbreds and arabians, but I could be wrong.
Thanks,
Lily L.
P.S. Why Are they wearing fly masks in fall?
Mr. Joe,
Was learning about oil fun or was it cunfusing to learn the diffrent types of oil. Mrs. Wilkie told us to say hi.
Mr. Joe,
Hope you had a good time at the museum. I just got home from the airport and back from vacation.
I was wondering how much and what did you learn at the museum?
Your student,

Hi! How was your Thanksgiving? The eel picture was awsome!
Stay Safe,

Hi! I loved looking at your recent posts. I thought I saw a eel. What was the most interesting thing you ate at the Thanksgiving feast? How many horses did you see? In the museum did you learn more about the environment?
I asked my dad what kind of eel he thought that was, he said a leopard moray eel. So then I did a little research on google, and it was a leopard moray eel! So now we know! :-)
Thanks for your posts, everybody!
There were about 15 horses all together at the stables where I'm staying. I think there may have been one Arabian and the rest thoroughbreds, but I'm not sure. They were wearing fly masks because there are flies year round here since it's always warm.
The museum taught me a lot about where oil is found in the earth and how oil companies drill for it. I also learned about the different types of oil and all the products that are made from petroleum, especially plastic.
It's good to know that's a leopard moray eel. See, now I'v elearned something from you, Claire! Thanks:-)
